Report: Car crashed into pole at Kern Medical Center emergency room

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A car crashed into a pole at the emergency room at Kern Medical Center, according to officials.
Bakersfield Police Department officers were sent to KMC at about 4 p.m. after reports of a car in the emergency room.
The driver was 29 years old.
Driver was headed to KMC for a pre-existing injury, official said.
Officials said the driver was under the influence of drugs, perhaps a medication.
The Chevy Malibu was loaded onto a flatbed.
There are no reports of any injuries.
The Bakersfield Police Department officials said officers are investigating this incident and also a hit and run that occurred on Mt. Vernon in the area around the same time.
