Cesar Chavez sculpture unveiled in Keene

KEENE, Calif. - A life-size bust sculpture of the civil rights and farm labor leader, Cesar Chavez, was unveiled at the national Chavez Center in Keene.
The Chavez family and leaders with the farm worker movement gathered this afternoon around the statue with the 88-year-old artist, Bea Goldstein.
Goldstein is a longtime farm worker movement supporter who donated the sculpture to the Chavez Center.
The bronze piece weighs 30 pounds and was appraised at $30,000.
It is displayed in the main entryway of Villa la Paz Educational Center
