BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -

Chevron will announce its investment in three local partners tomorrow morning.

On Jan. 31, Chevron will announce a $350,000 investment in three community partners which will kick off its new Economic Development Initiative in Kern County.

The Initiative aims to prepare residents for the jobs that are available in their community, further develop the local workforce and drive the growth of small businesses, contributing to an economically robust community that improves both business and job opportunities.

The Initiative is part of Chevron’s California Partnership, an initiative to invest in education and economic development in its home state.

Last year, Chevron made several investments in STEM education which benefited 400 teachers, and over 20,000 students.
