Chevron donates $10K to Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

Chevron will become a 2013 corporate sponsor

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -  

The Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will join officials of Chevron on Thursday to announce a $10,000 donation to support the chamber’s efforts and goals for 2013.

The announcement will be made at noon at The Mark Restaurant located at 1623 19 th Street.  

At the ceremony, Adam Alvidrez of Chevron will present a $10,000 check to the KCHCC Board of Directors during a special ceremony and luncheon.

As part of its donation, Chevron will be the main sponsor for upcoming business services and events for 2013. The KCHCC is already working on plans to host a number of business seminars targeting English and Spanish-speaking business owners, whether they are established or entrepreneurs, just starting out.

Chevron’s support will also assist the KCHCC with its annual fundraising events in 2013, including the annual Menudo Cook-Off and a Backpack Giveaway for needy children.

Chevron also plans to sponsor the upcoming Hispanic Chamber’s Installation and Business Award Banquet, scheduled for Sat. Feb. 2, 2013 at the Marriott Hotel at the Convention Center.
