BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Kern County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help in gathering information for a burglary investigation.
On June 30, sometime between 8 and 9 p.m., the Missionaries of Guadalupe Church at 79 Rexland Acres Drive in southeast Bakersfield was burglarized.
Officers said a suspect or suspects entered the church and removed several items, four of the items are very distinct religious items used during ceremonies.
The items are described as a six foot tall gold "Crosier" and three gold and silver "Cali Cups". The value of these items is approximately several thousand dollars.
Officers said that based on information from witnesses, the suspect or suspects may have fled in a white newer model Toyota pickup.
