Emmanuel Lutheran Church in east Bakersfield was filled with all sorts of homemade goodies to prepare the community for the upcoming holidays. This is the second year of the Fall Craft Bazaar. Members of the congregation made everything from clothing to birdhouses and quilts for the event. Organizers started planning for the big sale back in April.
“Here for us I think we enjoy working together, coming up with the ideas of what we're going to make and collecting the things to make them with and then getting together weekly to have fellowship while we make things. We have the best time," said Carol Opsal, organizer of the event.
Some of the money raised from the sale is going towards a charity in the community and the rest will be used to get a new church roof.
