City of Bakersfield holding low cost animal clinic February 1st

The City of Bakersfield Animal Control Division would like to invite the community to a low cost rabies vaccination/ licensing & microchip clinic for their pets.

On Saturday, February 1, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 pm, the City of Bakersfield Animal Control Division will be offering low cost rabies vaccinations and licensing with free microchips to all currently licensed dogs at Jefferson Park located at 801 Bernard Street.

The free microchip program is a yearlong effort that is focused on reducing the number of impounded animals entering the shelter system.
This form of electronic identification for animals is fast becoming the preferred method for reunification between lost pet and owner.

For more information, please contact the City of Bakersfield Animal Control Division Supervisor, Tammy Davis, at 661-326-3434.
