Amtrak train passengers arrived in Bakersfield after collision with commercial truck in Turlock

TURLOCK, Calif. - An Amtrak train collided with a commercial truck in Winton on Saturday night, delaying the San Joaquin route, officials said.

No injuries were reported in the crash that happened at 8:35 p.m. about 14 miles east of the Turlock station, according to Kimberly Woods with Amtrak Media Relations.

There were 56 passengers on board the train, Woods confirmed.

The train was delayed because of damage to the cab car, according to Woods.

The train is the San Joaquin that travels between San Francisco and San Diego.
