Community Learning Center teacher Brandi Lynn Sherman resigned after DUI's, arrest

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A teacher has resigned after being arrested in August for failing to complete counseling for DUI charges, a spokesperson for the Kern County Superintendent of Schools said.
Brandi Lynn Sherman, 38, was a teacher with the Kern County Superintendent of Schools and has been convicted of four DUI's since 2011.

She was a teacher at the Community Learning Center, which serves 7th through 12th grade students, on 34th Street and Union Avenue.
Sherman served a short stint in jail back in 2011 and was then sentenced to three years probation.
In August of last year, she was arrested for the third time, but returned to court earlier this week after failing to comply with counseling.
