BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Community Services Committee met to discuss and make recommendations regarding amenity options for Planz and Siemon Parks.

After going door to door, and having several community meetings, city officials discussed recommendations about what to do at the specific parks.

For both Planz and Siemon parks the idea is to demolish the old pools.  Specifically at Siemon Park they want a spray park added, while residents near the Planz Park want a skate park and more picnic areas.

Today the committee presented the recommendations to the council and they will vote on the changes at a later date.
