BAKERSFIELD - Concerned citizens gathered at Lowell Park to address a growing issue in our community. The Wendale Davis Foundation hosted a march against violence.
It all started on the corner of 4th and P street and ended at Martin Luther King Park.
The foundation began addressing violence after Wendale Davis was murdered in Bakersfield. His family gathers every year to raise awareness of the growing problem and to extend sympathy with other families that have suffered the same lose they did.
“We are tired of the violence. Stop it. Stop the violence. Please. It's devastating so, the message is stop. Just stop," said Wesley Davis with the foundation.
Volunteers created a memorial wall to honor all those victims around the community.
