BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A controversial southwest condo project will not be moving forward.
The Black Ops developer told the Kern County Board of Supervisors Tuesday that they will be withdrawing the project from consideration at a City Council meeting, according to the Californian.
The project was proposed to go up in an empty lot in the area of River Run Boulevard and Ming Avenue.
Residents in the area protested and collected 800 signatures in opposition of the project.
In June, the planning commission rejected the application for the condo project.
