Cops said a man stabbed in head with screwdriver

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A man was found stabbed in the head with a screwdriver and now authorities are searching for the man who was responsible for the stabbing.

At about 7:30 p.m. Sunday, deputies were sent to the 1200 block of Padre Street regarding as stabbing.

When deputies arrived, they said they found a 19-year-old man with a stab wound to the top of his head.

The man was taken to Kern Medical Center for his injuries.

Witnesses at the scene told authorities that Roman Perez had been involved in an argument with the victim in a home in the 1300 block of Padre Street when he stabbed the man in the head with a screwdriver.

Perez fled prior to deputies arrival in a silver Dodge Neon, offiicials said.

Perez is described as a Hispanic male 6’0”, 190 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Perez was last seen wearing a blue sweater, blue jeans and black beanie cap. Perez was occupying a silver Dodge Neon. The weapon is still outstanding. Refer to SR12-33439 for further details.
