BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Additional studies were completed determining the cause of death for a baby girl in March.
On July 29, the Kern County Coroner's Office said studies showed that five-month-old Chloe Marie Webb died of positional asphyxia and the manner was accidental.
According to babyyourbaby.org, positional asphyxia happens when a person can't get enough air to breathe due to the positioning of their body. In infants, this happened when the baby is found in a position where their mouth and nose is blocked or where their chest may be unable to fully expand.
