ONYX, Calif. - Fire crews continue to work on putting out the Nicolls Fire.
The fire is now 85 percent contained and has burnt 1,680 acres.
Crews are using a remote camping tactic that reduces travel times into the fire area by way of helicopter.
Firefighters will continue hauling all trash, flagging, and excess supplies out to restore the area in a condition consistent with wilderness values Wednesday.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
