BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Some Cal State University students may soon have to pay higher fees.

Cal State Trustees are considering raising fees on students who stay in school after they could have graduated, repeat classes or take a heavy load of classes.

The move is intended to encourage students to graduate on time in order to free up classes for freshmen and transfer students.
