BAKERSFIELD - California State University baseball head coach Bill Kernen announced his retirement at a presee conference Thursday.
The retirement will be effective July 1.
"I have other things I want to do," Kernen said. "I never wanted to die on a baseball field with a lineup card in my hands.”
