CSUB's police department is investigating three reports of assaults on campus

UPDATE, 5:46 p.m. - CSUB Police Chief Marty Williamson said the person of interest has been banned from campus for seven days, and that person is not a CSUB student. That person's name is not being released pending an ongoing investigation.

UPDATE, 4:34 p.m - University Police said a third victim was attacked today, and someone of interest has been banned from campus but has not been arrested:

UPDATE, 11:34 a.m. - University Police now say that two victims have come forward.

Investigators said these cases aren't believed to be connected to reports of inappropriate touching at the school a few months ago.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Police at California State University Bakersfield are investigating at least one report of an assault on campus, an investigator told 23ABC News.

It's unclear what led to the assault and it doesn't appear to be sexual in nature, but the incident is still under investigation, University Police said.

Many students recently returned to campus for classes last Monday, August 22.
