A new playground for actors is opening soon.
Ovation Repertory Theatre, a 99-seat venue will give patrons an up close and personal, intimate theatre experience.
Adam Cline, Hal Friedman and Bien Resolme, the team behind Ovation, have been part of the Bakersfield theatre scene for a while. Combined, they have over 50 years of experience and know all about Bakersfield talent.
"We have so much talent in Bakersfield we want to showcase all that," said Cline.
Nestled in downtown Bakersfield's Art District, The Ovation Repertory Theatre has found its home at the old Spot Light Theatre
"We’re happy to take it over and bring it back to its former glory and hopefully bring new life to it," said Friedman.
The first show "Jesus Christ Superstar" debuts on June 2nd.
