Cyber Monday sales put shoppers at risk of theft

Look for padlock icon on payment sites

You've survived Black Friday and Small Business Saturday but on Monday all the must-have deals are going digital.

Cyber Monday has gained tremendous momentum over the past decade, but with more shoppers comes more scammers.

Experts say to protect your card information only use sites that start with "https" in your web browser, the "s" stands for secure.

You can also check the top and bottom right hand corners for a padlock symbol to know if the site is safe.

When trying to pay for your product experts suggest using credit cards over debit cards because it is easier to get your money back if there is a problem with your purchase.
