BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - At 7:30 Monday night Kern County Sheriff's Deputies received an anonymous tip about a possible upcoming school shooting at Standard Middle School in Oildale, according to officials.
Deputies say an in-depth investigation into threats made on several social networking sites led deputies to the juveniles at the source of the rumors.
Upon further questioning deputies determined "no credible threats to Standard Middle School were substantiated."
No criminal charges are pending and school officials have been made aware of the investigation.
The middle school will be open Tuesday morning as scheduled.
