BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Chateau D'Bakersfield is a program to help disabled adults to restore, maintain or improve their capacity for self care.
And, apparently, a chance to find their voice!
A monthly Karaoke jam is providing the residents an opportunity to step into the spotlight, enhancing their self-confidence.
In addition to karaoke, the Chateau also hosts a dance party once a month.
Residents who get involved are part of the organization's Community Integration Program and Community Based Adult Services.
