BAKERSFIELD - One of the last few events at the Kern County Fair attracts dozens of proud parents.  The Diaper Derby is a race to find the fastest baby in Bakersfield.

The derby includes two heats.  The first one is for 7, 8 and 9 month old babies.  The second heat is for 10 and 11 month old babies.

Many competitors stayed on track while others stopped just as they passed the start line.  The babies had a three minute time limit for the race.  In the end, Ryken Hill of Kern County was awarded first place.  He won a t-shirt, a trophy and of course bragging rights.
