According to an employee at the office, the offices in Delano, Lake Isabella, Shafter and Southwest Bakersfield are open.

The Department of Motor Vehicles experienced a major computer outage on October 24, 2016 impacting offices around the state.
Crews have been working all night to rebuild the system and get offices back up and running. The offices that are still down will continue providing drive tests, making return appointments, helping with paperwork and answering customer's questions.
The department wants to remind customers that DMV online services are still available and apologizes for any inconvenience this issue has caused.
