BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A driver was hospitalized after a car slammed into a home in Central Bakersfield.
The accident happened at 8:07 p.m. Wednesday at a home in the 3300 block of Q Street, near 33rd Street.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the driver of the car drove over the curb, through the home's front yard and a fence before coming to rest on the front porch. A set of concrete steps prevented the car from penetrating the house.
The driver of the car was pinned inside the vehicle, but emergency crews managed to free her. She was taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries. Her identity hasn't been released.
No one inside the home was injured.
