TEHACHAPI, Calif. -
Two people were hospitalized and a man was arrested after he caused a head on collision in Tehachapi, Tuesday afternoon.
On Jan. 15, at about 4 p.m., a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Daniel Bohl of Tehachapi was traveling on State Route 202, when his vehicle veered to the left and entered the another traffic lane.
His vehicle collided head on with a 2001 Toyota Tundra driven by Victor Austin.
The collision resulted in the temporary closure of State Route 202.
Victor and his passenger Dorothy Austin were taken to Kern Medical Center with moderate injuries. The couple were wearing their seatbelts.
The investigating officer suspects the use of alcohol by Bohl was the cause of this collision.
Bohl was also taken to Kern Medical Center by Mercy Air helicopter and then placed under arrest for driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Bohl’s injuries were described as moderate.
