BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A family of five was forced to flee Monday after flames ripped through a home in Northwest Bakersfield.
According to the Kern County Fire Department, the fire started just after 4:00 a.m. at a home on Roscomare Street.
Fire crews tell 23ABC News that the blaze started inside a travel trailer parked in the home's side yard and spread to the roof of the house.
The flames extended into the home's attic, but firefighters managed to knock it down before it spread any further. No neighboring homes were damaged.
Damage is estimated at $150,000. There are no reports of any injuries.
