BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A suspect is wanted for allegedly tying up an adult and juvenile and sexually assaulting the adult this weekend.
On August 19, at about 3:43 a.m., officers with the Bakersfield Police Department went to the 200 block of Quantico Avenue regarding a rape.
When officers arrived, they learned the suspect forced his way into the victim's home, where he bound the adult and juvenile.
According to reports, the suspect then sexually assaulted the adult victim and fled the home with items of value.
Officials said the description and actions of this suspect match two previous cases that occurred in east Bakersfield and are currently under investigation by the BPD and the Kern County Sheriff's Office.

The suspect is described as a black man in his late 20s to 30s. He is said to be between 5 foot 8 inches and 6 foot tall.
Officers said the man was last seen wearing a black ski mask, dark hooded sweatshirt and shorts.
In the most recent case, the suspect was in possession of a handgun. He should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.
The previous cases happened on July 18, in the 4300 block of Columbus Street and on August 1, in the 2900 block of Virginia Avenue.

Both law enforcement agencies are asking for the community's assistance in finding the suspect who is wanted for sexual assault, false imprisonment, residential burglary and robbery.
The BPD and KCSO also want to urge the community to be vigilant in reporting suspicious activity and persons.
The Secret Witness Program is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for each case for information leading to the arrest and filing of a criminal complaint against the suspect responsible for the sexual assaults that are being investigated.
