BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -
Emergency equipment will be donated to Bakersfield's sister city in Mexico on Friday.
Hall Ambulance Service Founder and President, Harvey L. Hall, and Bakersfield Fire Department Chief Douglas R. Greener, are hosting a ceremony during which ambulances, medical, and firefighting equipment will be donated to Bakersfield’s Sister City in Mexico, Queretaro.
On hand to accept the donated items from the Bomberos de Queretaro will be Chief Jorge Cevallos and a contingency of his EMS and fire officers. While in Bakersfield, the personnel from Queretaro will spend time with Hall and Bakersfield Fire personnel, as well.
In addition to the equipment donations, both Hall Ambulance Service and the Bakersfield Fire Department will be sending staff members to Queretaro to conduct training for Queretaro’s EMT’s, paramedics, and firefighters later in November.
Since becoming sister cities in 2005, this is the second time that Hall has donated equipment and training to the department.
