BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A Taft man who killed his girlfriend's 3-year-old girl took a plea deal Friday.
Eric Foster pleaded no contest to first-degree murder and in exchange, four other felony counts against him were dropped.
In Sept. 2013 Foster admitted to abusing and killing 3-year-old Trinity Hanna.
The girl's mother, Angela Hanna, was convicted of second-degree murder for allowing the abuse.
Prosecutors dropped charges of willful cruelty to a child, custodian assault of a child resulting in injury or death, torture and lewd an lascivious acts with a child under 14 with force against Foster.
