BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A former Bakersfield High School student who dropped out of school to join the military to fight in the Korean War was honored with a full memorial service today.

62 years ago, 18-year-old Roosevelt Clark went MIA after six months of service and his body made the journey home to Bakersfield earlier this week.

The military confirmed that some of the remains that were given to them by North Korea in the 1990's belonged to Clark.

Clark's burial was held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Kern County, where he received full honors.

Hillcrest donated all funeral services as well as the cemetery plot.
