Family and friends of murdered Tehachapi woman holding car wash BBQ for funeral costs

Family and friends of a Tehachapi woman, who was killed, will be holding a fundraiser to raise money for funeral costs Saturday. 

23-year-old Cheyenne Sara Watkins was found dead last week in a home in the area of Kid Place and Westwood Boulevard. The Coroner's Office said she died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Relatives tell 23 ABC they last saw Watkins on May 28th. A family member filed a missing person's report on May 31st.  She was found dead on June 1st.

Her family is hosting a barbecue and car wash Saturday starting at 9 a.m. at Savannah's Old Town Saloon located on South Street in Tehachapi.

Her family told 23ABC that anyone who wants to volunteer during the fundraiser is welcome to do so.
