BAKERSFIELD - A family is grieving following a deadly car crash Friday that took the lives of one young girl and their mother.
Robertson and her daughter were killed Friday night in a weather related crash on Highway 99 south of Airport Drive. Another one of her daughters, Cali, was injured in the crash and remains in critical condition at the hospital.
"She was a loving mother, her kids were here whole world," said Roberts' brother John Jr. "All she ever wanted to do was be a mom."
The family is raising money online at GoFundMe . A steady stream of cars showed up to the Sonic near Roberts and Olive to donate. Family members hope to raise $8,000 by the end of the day.
They are also hosting a memorial ride on Sunday, May 4 at 10:30 a.m. at Belvedere in Bakersfield where they will be accepting donations.
