Famous scientist Jane Goodall to speak at Bakersfield College

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A famous scientist will address an audience in Bakersfield in April.

Bakersfield College announced Tuesday that famous primatologist and conservationist Dr. Jane Goodall will speak April 1.

Dr. Goodall will discuss her work with Gombe chimpanzees and recent field work.

Dr. Goodall will sign copies of her book, Sowing the Seeds of Hope: Wisdom and Wonder from the World of Plants.

Dr. Goodall will also share information about the work of the Jane Goodall Institute which continues Dr. Goodall’s pioneering research on chimpanzee behavior. 

General admission is $15 and all seating is first come, first served.

The lecture will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Bakersfield College Gil Bishop Sports Center.
