Fire destroys small home in south Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - An early morning fire destroyed a small home in the Tierra Del Sol neighborhood in south Bakersfield on Friday.
The fire started at about 3:20 a.m. on "Calle de los ninos," just south of Pacheco Road.
Fire crews worked to stop the fire from spreading, but the materials used to build the manufactured home only made their job tougher.
Officials said they've also received calls about similar fires at the same home in the past. The vacant home is a total loss.
