A fire has been reported 1/4 mile west of Red Mountain in the Greenhorn Mountains on the Kern River Ranger District and is at 0 percent containment.
The fire started approximately at 6:16 p.m. Tuesday.
Officials say the fire has burned 150 acres and there is no ground access into the fire.
They are utilizing air tankers and helicopters throughout the day.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
