First annual Bakersfield run for kids with special needs

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The first annual run--or walk--for kids with special needs will be today.
The Saturday event includes a 5K run, food, entertainment and a community fair.
A special needs parade will follow the 5K run.
Kids 12-years-old and younger can participate in a 1K for free. A $30 registration fee is required of all others.
The event will be at The Dome at 2201 V Street, starting at 8:30 a.m.
