BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Lynda La Force became the first female Postmaster of Bakersfield and was sworn in at a ceremony attended by her family, friends and colleagues.
La Force said she is looking forward to continuous improvement when it comes to delivery and service in the City of Bakersfield.
“My goals are to focus on customer needs, employee needs and generating revenue,” La Force said.
La Force began her Postal Service career in October 1983.
She is responsible for the delivery of mail to nearly 203,300 Bakersfield residential and business customers, six days a week. She oversees 244 carrier delivery routes, almost 12,000 P.O. Boxes and a workforce of 462 employees.
