LAX flight out of Meadows Field delayed

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - According to Ron Brewster, Chief of Operations at Meadows Field, said the flight from Meadows Field to LAX has been delayed.

United Flight 621 is still on schedule to land at Meadows Field at 5:34 p.m. Friday.

At least one suspect opened fire inside Terminal 3 at Los Angeles International Airport Friday, wounding and at least three people, including a Transportation Security Administration agent.

Police said a suspect was shot and wounded inside the terminal and taken into custody shortly after the gunfire erupted around 9:30 a.m. Media reports indicate that a second suspect was arrested a short time later.

The conditions of the wounded were not immediately available. Reports from the scene indicated that a TSA officer was shot in the leg.

Century Boulevard was closed off leading into the airport, blocking all  traffic into LAX, and motorists were advised to avoid the area. Traffic was at a standstill on streets heading toward the airport.

According to multiple reports, a suspect possibly wearing camouflage walked into the terminal and opened fire.

One witness told the Los Angeles Times that a young white male was walking calmly through the terminal firing a rifle-type weapon.

Police were continuing to search the terminal to ensure there were no other suspects or additional victims, according to LAPD Officer Gregory Baek.
