SACRAMENTO, Calif. - It's finally here.
California health officials are now saying flu activity is widespread throughout the state.
The death toll is now five and doctors say there's been a sharp increase in the number of flu cases.
None of the deaths reported were in Kern County, but there were two in Los Angeles.
Health experts expect the flu to peak for us in February and urge everyone to get flu shots.
