Foundation sets goal of 1,500 gifts for toy drive

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -
A local foundation has a goal of surprising 1,500 children with gifts this year.
The Dolores Huerta Foundation is seeking to fill 1,500 children’s hearts this season and needs help finding presents for all ages especially for babies and toddlers.
New and unwrapped gifts and donations will be accepted this coming Friday, Dec. 7, at First Friday Downtown Art exhibit and Crafts Fair at the corner of Eye St. and 19 th Street from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Toys will also be accepted next week at the Dolores Huerta Foundation headquarters; 1527 19 th Street, suite 418 from 9:00-5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
