FRAZIER PARK, Calif. - A Frazier Park resident was arrested after an investigation of a Lamont area theft led to his identification as a suspect, officials said.
On June 25, deputies from the Lamont Substation conducted a theft investigation at the Microtel Inn and Suites located in the area of Interstate-5 and Laval Road.
After investigating, officials said findings of the theft led to the identification of 52-year-old James Stearns of Frazier Park.
On June 26, officials said a search warrant was obtained and served at Stearns’ home in Frazier Park.
During the warrant service, the stolen property was found and eventually returned to the Microtel Inn and Suites, according to officials.
Stearns was arrested for possession of stolen property and grand theft. He was booked at the Central Receiving Facility.
