Funeral home owner faces charges, accused of improperly storing bodies too long

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The owner of a funeral home closed in January for code violations will be criminally charged.

Beloved Care Funeral Home was forced to shut down after it was discovered nine bodies were improperly stored at the facility.

Owner James Gamble will face three misdemeanor charges for failing to properly handle bodies within a legal time limit.

A warrant was out for his arrest, but Gamble posted bond Thursday for $7,500.
