BAKERSFIELD - A Bakersfield man caught red handed with a stolen FBI gun learned his sentence Tuesday.
John Thompson, a known gang member, was pulled over in April on Potomac Avenue.
Thompson was driving on a suspended license and had a restraining order against him.
After searching his car, they found an FBI-issued loaded Glock handgun that had been stolen in January.
Thompson was sentenced to 3 years probabtion.
Thompson took a plea deal and pleaded no contest to carrying a firearm without registration.
