BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -
A local high school will begin to use iPads heavily in the classroom in the fall.
Garces Memorial High School will hold an informational meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 29, for all interested parents to discuss the iPad 1:1 Learning Program scheduled to begin next school year.
Beginning in the Fall of 2013, every Garces student will receive an iPad.
Discussions will cover ebooks, interactive classroom assignments, homework assignments, free education apps, calendars, time management tools, and communication.
The meeting will be held in Monsignor Leddy Hall on campus and will begin at 6 p.m.
