A local high school is making a generous donation to a hospital this morning.
Garces Memorial High School raised $2,000 for Bakersfield Memorial's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
The school held a fundraiser where students paid $5 in order to wear red to class.
The fundraiser was held in honor of the school's Drug and Alcohol Awareness Week.
The school decided to give the money to the hospitals NICU because a large number of newborns admitted there are born to mothers that are alcohol and drug addicts.
