BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -
A little bit of Hollywood arrived in Bakersfield on Thursday.
Giulianna Rancic left the set of E! News and took over the Bakersfield Women's Business Conference.
As key note speaker, she shared her story of being a breast cancer survivor and encouraged women to pursue their career goals no matter how impossible they may seem.
Whether women were fresh out of college or well into their career, there were workshops for all 1,500 women in attendance.
The conference sessions were targeted toward helping women grow in both their professional life as well as their personal one.
Rancic said perhaps the best advice she can offer is to women is to build each other up, instead of tearing each other down.
Rancic is a breast cancer survivor and first time mom.
She said she finds balance between her career and family by giving 100% when she's at work and 100% when she's at home, but never tries to mix the two.
This was the 24th annual event at the Rabobank Convention Center.
