BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Glenwood Gardens hosted a health fair Saturday in an effort to educate seniors about their health and safety.
The event was held at the senior living center. There were free blood pressure checks and balance screenings. Glenwood Gardens staff gave tours of the facilities.
Senior-related vendors were also there with food, music and prizes.
"Health fairs like this are so important because our seniors need quality information and you can't get quality information unless quality companies are coming out and giving it,” said Brandon Manning, a health fair guest, “When they host things like this the entire community grows as a whole."
