Oildale, Calif. - The Oildale Leadership Alliance is helping more people go green and live a healthier life.
Volunteers organized a fair that brought several agencies together. The groups offered recycle bins and booths with plenty of information on nutritional diets and ways to include exercise in your life.
Leaders with Saturday’s event say every little bit of help, keeping our environment clean, counts.
“It’s our Earth. It's where we live and we want to leave it for our children. We want to make the most out of what we've been given by God and so we should be very good stewards of it and take care of it, just like we take care of anything else we have,” said Susan Lang of the Oildale Leadership Alliance.
While this is the first year the event is being held, organizers say they plan to continue hosting it every year.
