BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A fraternal organization will be hosting a "Pink Pancake" breakfast fundraiser to support breast cancer awareness.
The Order of the Eastern Star, Stars United Social Club is hosting the event Oct. 19, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Fraternal Hall, 410 East California Avenue.
Admission is $10.00 per person and it includes pink pancakes, eggs, potatoes, sausage/bacon, coffee, and milk.
They will also launch pink and white balloons in honor someone who has died, survived or is fighting breast cancer.
A portion of the proceeds from the breakfast will be donated to a local organization that is helping with the fight against cancer and the Order of Eastern Star Grand Chapter Breast Cancer Foundation.
The Order of the Eastern Star is one of the largest fraternal organizations in the world to which both women and men can belong. The Santa Joaquina Chapter #14 of Bakersfield is one of the oldest Chapters in the California Jurisdiction. It is a 501K non-profit organization, with a deep concern and love for the welfare of its members and the community in which we live.
